Week 3
David's prototype was meant to frustrate the player but strangely enough, everyone loves the darkness and the camera is messed up. It did help that my script which made jumping unreliable decided to fix itself. So did I answer the question, half was answered. Now I know that even if people couldn't understand what's going on at first they still love a challenge. Which is good to know for the future. I guess my question is a chase game from a giant spider. This will hopefully use the dark fog to it too.
Donnacha's prototype was aimed to show off both a drawing card method that could be later implemented with a complete random chance for what cards ended up in the player's hand. It did well to confuse players a bit more than I'd hoped with most assuming once the abilities were used up that there would be out of cards.
Next on the list is finding a way to write nature into the idea, my plan is to design cards based on the typical 4 element structure and work off a few extra card types. I also intended to add a basic card selection screen which worked out on the designing side but I will have to see how people react to my work.
